Numspot
French sovereign cloud platform offering IaaS and PaaS services, backed by Banque des Territoires, Docaposte, Dassault Systèmes and Bouygues Télécom
About
Numspot is a French sovereign cloud platform founded in 2023 and backed by four major French public and private stakeholders: Banque des Territoires, Docaposte, Dassault Systèmes, and Bouygues Télécom. The company aims to provide a sovereign alternative to American hyperscalers, built on a fully European infrastructure that is not subject to extraterritorial laws such as the Cloud Act or FISA.
The platform offers a service catalogue covering IaaS infrastructure (virtual machines) for critical workloads, managed Kubernetes, managed PostgreSQL databases, and a PaaS (Platform as a Service) layer for automated deployment and operational maintenance of applications. Numspot also supports hybrid deployment models — public cloud, on-premise, and air-gapped environments — and provides a marketplace of sovereign SaaS and cloud solutions.
Numspot holds the HDS (Hébergeur de Données de Santé) certification and ISO/IEC 27001, authorising the hosting of sensitive health data and meeting the requirements of heavily regulated organisations. The platform is also undergoing SecNumCloud qualification by the French cybersecurity agency ANSSI: at the time of writing, milestones J0 and J1 of the qualification process have been completed for its PaaS offering.
